During the spring months temperatures begin to rise and are between 14 and 18 degrees. With an average of 5 days of rain per month, it’s a perfect time to come and experience the awakening of the season in a calmer way. During this period, the summer heat is not as intense nor are there the inconveniences of overcrowding that can occur during the following months.

Port de Sant Miquel

Later, in June, July and August, the average temperature rises to 26 degrees without dropping too much at night. During the day they can reach and even exceed 40 degrees, making it an ideal time to experience the beach and the joy that the island has always breathed.

Curiosities

As for rainfall, it varies from one year to the next, but it’s usually concentrated in the autumn months, having little impact the rest of the year. An interesting fact to keep in mind is that the sea temperature does not drop below 13 degrees and during summer it ranges between 19 and 24 degrees, so the bravest will be able to enjoy the deserted beaches and the sea all year round.

The bay of the port includes several coves with different characteristics to visit. On the one hand, there is the largest and the first, Puerto de San Miguel, is the one with the most sand, ideal to enjoy with the family and with all kinds of activities to choose from. The hammocks are priced at 8 euros to spend the day and from there, all you have to do is enjoy. Pedal boats are the best option to explore the area with the family. With its slide they will delight the little ones for 20 euros an hour. Canoes and paddle surfs are another option for those who want to practice a bit of sport and to move more agilely. Both are priced at 20 euros per hour and are a fantastic option for skirting the coast.

A different and personalized excursion by boat

Another option can be boats with or without skipper. There is the option of renting a motor boat to go more comfortably from one place to another and even, if you are lucky, find a secluded place to dock and enjoy the rocks of the bay or dive. Finally, for those looking for something more picturesque, there is the option of renting a traditional Ibizan boat, called llaüt, for a family outing. Depending on the duration of the excursion, more personalized tours can be made and from there the price would be adjusted.

Caló des Moltons, Ibiza

Many coves in a single bay

A few minutes walk from this beach is a much smaller but very picturesque one, Caló des Moltons. Like a small oasis between the rocks it has several traditional fishermen’s huts. It has no sand, but it’s a highly recommended place to visit and dive.

Finally, on the other side of the bay is Es Pas de s’Illa, a small cove with views over the Port of San Miguel. The access can be done both by boat and by car or by walking through the forest. It is further away, but it is worth discovering it and even eating at its beach bar.

However, in some of its parties you do have to pay an entrance fee. Market days and opening hours

During the summer months is when the market is shown in all its splendor and it opens almost every day of the week, with live music and all its restaurants. The market opens on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. These two days you can enjoy nearly 300 stalls full of exoticism and originality. From the month of June to September, the hours are extended so that no one is left without visiting this unique place in the world.

In the middle of the summer, from June to September, and due to the large influx on weekends, the more relaxed versions are added, which are the night markets on Mondays and Tuesdays, which begin at 7:00 p.m.  These days the stalls are reduced to a more curated selection according to strict criteria of quality and originality and they are usually exclusive to these nights. In addition, to set the mood for these evenings there will always be live music that creates a unique atmosphere of harmony that will take us back to the golden age of the hippies on the island, a true gift for the senses. Savour Las Dalias

There is a lot of shopping to do at the Las Dalias but, in addition, there are also many options to enjoy its gastronomy. The menu of its restaurant explores both the Mediterranean flavors and those of Thailand,

Morocco or India, creating a new cuisine concept. Added to this alternative are numerous food trucks scattered throughout the route on market days, like its juice bar that together create an authentic

flavor festival. Try their pizzas made at the moment with various types of flour. Also their Mexican tacos, their salads, paellas, cocktails with and without alcohol and much more to enjoy its unique atmosphere.

Life concerts in Las Dalias
